dating my husband.

I was asked out on a date for tomorrow night. [insert hot date]  That is what our kids call our date nights.  Mom and Dad are going out on a hot date. Love it.

Here is the deal.

I am trying to think of something new to do.  Let’s pass up dinner and a movie.  Do you have any great ideas?  I am having an issue with feeling inspired.  If you live in Houston can you even suggest Restaurants and tell me what price range they are in.

If you help me gain inspiration I promise to share fun photos.

Hello… I just went from Jennyhopes sight to yours, because I was capitivated by your adoption story. We are having a story as well, and we are in what I like to say the end of our first trimester. So I would love to hear yours.

I also wanted to tell you my kids call it a hot date too…so funny…they usually make kissing sounds while they say it…but anyway, last date night we said no to foodout and movie or bookstore, and went to a park. We walked. He pushed me in the swing. He even went down the slide. Fun. Just an idea.

Our favorite thing to do right now is eat at home and then go out to this wine bar, it is cool and has a great vibe. We bring a journal and dream. It is great!

I have always wanted to go on a date with Aaron and go and paint pottery. I did this with a bunch of girlfriends this past Spring and it was so much fun!

There is a D&B on I10 right by Ikea. Pretty fun we have done that!
I enjoy going to a show and dinner downtown.
The Houston Symphony has a pretty cool show right now, or at least I think so, big band swing music…hoping to convince Paul to take me! I like the Hard Rock Cafe and Sambuca Jazz Cafe.

Heather. Your idea is awesome. We may play off of it a little. I am kind of thinking of heading out to a park area downtown (not discovery green) and have time to dream together. We use to do this every year on vacation to plan for our year. I must say that it has been a while since we sat and dreamed together with journals open.

Jamie. Pottery is so fun. Carly and I did that for girls day not long ago. I did a plate and it was seriously relaxing. We have a place right around the corner. This was actually on my list.

Karina. I have heard of D&B but have never been. Do they have those machines where you throw the token in to see how many tokens will fall out? I am addicted to that machine. That is one reason I should not do Las Vegas.

CJ. I was just thinking about Ikea. Maybe we will incorporate Ikea into this date. There is some bedding there that I want to check out. We have been wanting to try Sambuca. We have been to the Red Cat and love it. Do you remember the story? “Coke drinkers at the bar”
